First time trying this cafe that has been around for a little while now. The food was tasty and coffee was good. A little on the pricey side but still enjoyed it. The atmosphere and setting is very nice. Well worth giving this place a try.
Quiet for a Tuesday lunch, so why did we have to wait so long for our meal? Had the three little pig charcoal bun sliders, very tasty but check your teeth after. The hoggie was tasty but not a lot of filling compared to ones I have had before. Great space, quirky & lovely old building.
Great sense of space in this restaurant, very high ornate ceilings and funky artwork inside an old Masonic Lodge. Has a fireplace in the dining area. Has on site parking. Close to beach. Can dine outside in warmer weather and have an ocean view. Food was great and portions were a good size and reasonably priced. Good range of food on the menu. Coffees were good and they serve decaf. Service was friendly and prompt. You’ll want to book ahead during busy times. Wheelchair accessible. Toilets were clean and tidy. Gents has a beer keg for a urinal and stained glass door on the loo. Great spot for a coffee and cake or a full meal.
The atmosphere of this place is amazing! The tall ceilings and how they have made this old building into a restaurant, is absolutely stunning!
The brand is really funky aswell with all their merch and coffee cups - Really great idea!
The breakfast I had was good. But that's pretty much it...it was good.
I ordered the French Toast and i was expecting the bread to be abit more thicker, with some icing sugar and more flavours through it. But that part of the breakfast was just very basic. The maple bacon was the best part though!!
It was still yummy, I've just had better French toast.
I will try the Avocado Toast next time, that looks delicious!
Best breakfast and coffee I had in a long time.
There was 7 of us from 17 to 86 years.
Great staff and loved the food.
A bit loud for me but it's in the old free manson hall so not much anyone can do about it.
Great space, large tables.
Very comfortable.
Will be back.
What a wonderful cafe with a view of the bay, beach volley ball and basketball court. The vibe here is relaxed and the food is great. I had the breaky burrito and it was not what I was expecting (a good in your hands burrito), but it's tasted even better than I expected! Tomato chutney and cheese melted on top of the burrito with egg, spinach, potato gems, Bacon and cheese. With a side of avocado, tomato, onion, paprika, rocket leaf. Very yummy and well worth the $$.
The coffee was amazing too, not burnt, nice and smooth; delights the taste buds 😍
Definitely a cafe worth the visit and and staff mate you feel welcome.
Thank you mum's beard cafe! 😘
From the moment we walked in for a last minute lunch on the weekend, we were treated with 5 star service, super quick food which was delicious and the decor was outstanding! A quirky take on the history of the building with a great sense of humour in the decor made this place even better! There's a huge range of over the counter goodies to choose from as well and it's family friendly too! Well done guys !!
$32 for this big brekkie, not worth it. Kids menu also all $12. Had breakfast elsewhere the day before and kids menu was $9 and the serving was bigger and eggs were nicer. Not worth the money but nice location.
